The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
